Exploring Church Membership Weekender on July 10 - 12
In God’s infinite wisdom and kindness, he has not left Christians to simply figure out “church” on their own, but instead, has given us instruction through his Word. Join the pastors as they consider what Scripture has to say about the structure of the church, the importance of church membership, and how all of this serves to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If you know someone who would like to participate, please direct them to our website with the link below. This class does not obligate anyone to join, but it does serve as the first step in pursuing membership at LBC. Members are also welcome to join, meet prospective members, and review what the Bible has to say about God’s design for the local church! To see the class schedule and register, please click below!
Summer Equipping Classes at LBC
For the summer, we are looking forward to offering one solo equipping class in the fellowship hall, covering a variety of topics throughout the season. The greatest reason for this is a desire for our church to all sit together under the same teaching and enjoy fellowship and learning under God’s Word together. We look forward to seeing you there!
Practical Discipleship: Biblical Hospitality: House to House | Fellowship Hall
In the local church, it’s easy to settle into comfortable, familiar social circles. However, Acts 2:46 points us toward a richer blueprint: a "house to house" culture where the transformative power of the gospel is shared through ordinary, daily hospitality. Following this biblical pattern, this four-week equipping class is designed to help members steward their homes as environments for shared meals, discipleship, and prayer. Join us as we explore how intentional hospitality can strengthen our fellowship across Liberty Baptist Church and offer a powerful corporate witness to a watching world.

We'll be taking advantage of the "Ladies Night" hosted by Paradise Outfitters, so you'll need to make your reservation directly through them in advance. (Just go to bookeo.com/paradise and click "Book" under Ladies Night at Smithville Lake. From there, select July 2 and input your information.) Kayaks launch from LIttle Platte Swim Beach. And feel free to bring a picnic dinner and arrive by 4:45pm if you'd also like to eat with the group!July 24: Simple Summer Book Study | 7:00-9:00pm
We know the summer can be busy, so we've made a plan to read, learn, and fellowship together that won't stretch anybody's calendar. We will be reading Andrea Burke's book "A Bit of Earth: A Year in the Garden with God." You have all of June and July to read the book at your own pace, and then we will gather one evening (July 24) at 7:00PM to discuss the book and to fellowship. Please sign up for this event here, so we know how many will be participating: https://form.jotform.com/261444487503055
