Church Picnic

Mark your calendars! Our Church Picnic will take place on October 26th at 5:00pm! We will gather in the upper parking lot for food, fellowship, prayer, and music. The church will be providing hotdogs and chips. We ask that you bring a side dish and/or dessert to share. We also encourage you to bring water bottles, lawn chairs, or blankets. Please park in the lower lot. We would also love to have several people come early (3:30pm) to help set up and then stay afterwards to help clean up. If you are willing to serve in this way or have any questions, please reach out to Stephanie Leatherbury by email or by phone at (816) 651-0135.

October Members’ Meeting

Plan to attend the Members’ Meeting on Sunday, October 19th at 5:00pm. Join us as we conduct the Kingdom business of our church! If you cannot make it to the meeting, you can send an email to Muangkong, and he will send you the link to the recording.

Senior Adult Potluck

The senior adults will meet on Columbus Day, October 13th, at noon in the fellowship hall for food and fellowship. Make your favorite fall recipe to share and ask the Lord for eyes to see someone who needs an invitation to join you there.

Attend the Fall PTC Preaching Lab

You’re invited to attend the Pastoral Training Center residents’ fall preaching lab on Saturday, October 11, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m downstairs in Equipping Room A. The residents will each deliver a sermon from an assigned text, and they would love to have a “congregation" to whom to preach. This is a great way to encourage our residents and also learn more about preaching in the process. Come for the whole lab, or come and go. Our men would be blessed by your presence.

Equipping Classes

Please consider joining us in one of these classes as we study God’s Word together:

  • Theology & Doctrine: Systematic Theology | Fellowship Hall
For many men and women (even Christian men and women), the idea of studying theology may feel intimidating. (What's with all the Latin?) For others, they might be tempted to think of theology as irrelevant. (How does this help me follow Jesus or love my neighbor?) When we study theology well, however, it is anything but cold, dry, and impractical. We study the things of God not to argue about abstract ideas but to know him deeply, personally, and truly. Our gracious God has revealed himself to us through his Word, and it is our joyful duty to listen when he speaks. Join us, as we look at key doctrines throughout Scripture and learn together how sound theology leads to practical, Christian living.

  • Practical Discipleship: Living as a Church | Equipping Room A
In Ephesians 3, the apostle Paul makes the staggering assertion that the means by which God has chosen to display his manifold wisdom throughout the world and even to the rulers and authorities in the heavens is the church. It’s local churches across the globe and throughout time. It’s the members of LBC! How does this work? What does this look like? Join us, as we consider what Scripture has to say about walking in a manner worthy of this high calling, and looking at practical ways (gathering, praying, serving, evangelizing) that Liberty Baptist Church seeks to live together in this way.

  • Liberty Students (6th-12th Grade): Overview of Kings & Ecclesiastes | Liberty Students Room
We continue our study of the Old Testament. As we trace God’s plan of redemption, students will be led through portions of 1 and 2 Kings, and Ecclesiastes, taught to ask questions and make observations of the text, and guided in learning how God’s Word applies to their lives. Let’s pray for our students as they continue to learn how to study Scripture!
